Oppo runs on Kinja which is a Gawker property. Unbeknownst to some as well, anyone who is on Oppositelock.kinja.com (or any other Kinja URL) is contributing to Gawker through clicks and content generation.

So no, I’m not specifically spending my money on Gawker, however I am generating revenue. Which I will be stopping in the very near future.

Oppo is not commercialized. See ads anywhere on here? Nope? No ad revenue for them. At this point, since we are without a .jalopnik url our only real relation to Gawker is the Kinja platform and the only way of changing that is to move this to another url with a different system running it, which is nigh on impossible.

Interesting, that’s some impressively bad errors to get it that scrambled. I don’t get that one but I do have it double words up fairly often if I backspace to edit a spellling error. That one is infuriating.

Anyway you did say Oppo contributes monetarily to Gawker: “Unbeknownst to some as well, anyone who is on Oppositelock.kinja.com (or any other Kinja URL) is contributing to Gawker through clicks and content generation.” I’ll give you content generation but even then no clicks to any .kinja URLs contribute directly to gawker as they are not sponsored and/or advertised on. Even content generated by us doesn’t give them money, it only will if said content brings clicks to pages that are commercialised.

I’m saying that if you stay on Oppo and .kinja URLs exclusively, unless your posts get shared to a Jalopnik et al (even then, indirectly at most), you aren’t contributing anything to Gawker’s bank accounts.
